Always connected on your local network
We're working on a big update. After this update, the default connection between your phone and Slide will be through your own local network.
What does this mean?
If you are connected with your phone to the same WiFi-network as Slide, the connection will run through the local WiFi-network.
Are you away from home? Then your phone will connect to Slide using our server. This means that you'll always still be able to control Slide when you're not home.
What do I notice?
You won't anything from the update, except for an improvement in response time between your phone and Slide, ánd the fact that you don't need an internet connection anymore to send commands to Slide when you're home.
In case of an internet outage, you'll still be able to open and close the curtains using the Slide app.
